Due to the busyness of the semester, the Question of the Day will be changing format. It will now be the Question of the Week. It will mean you have more time to answer and you won’t feel the pressure of needing to come back to the site everyday. As always, you can answer in the comments on the blog or on the white board in the Wesley House. Wesley House answers will be updated on the blog throughout the week.

October 2, 2008Question of the Day- August 29- FOOTBALL FRIDAY Week 1!
August 29, 2008On Fridays, the question of the day will ask you to predict the Florida football game score (or if the Gators are off, the next biggest game of the weekend). 2008 Wesley Foundation Shirt
May 28, 2008Hey everyone. Its time to order our Wesley Foundation shirts for next year, and we would love your input. Take a look at the options below and in the comments let us know which ones you like. We’ll take your input and make a final decision soon. The logo at the bottom is the new logo that we will be using for on campus publicity this year. We will still be using the banner logo as well, so don’t worry about it going away! You can click on the image to see it a bit larger.
Clarification: The website will be on the back no matter what. I just included it so you could see it. We’re basically just looking for input on the front. Thanks for all the comments so far!

This Week @ “The Gathering” (Thursday @ 8 pm in the Presby Center) we
will do a “stump the chump” night. We will split into groups and
brainstorm tough, but relevant questions, and then quickly discover
the edges of Pastor David’s knowledge of all things Christian.
Rebuttal is allows. Particularly deep questions will be used as the
topics for future Bible studies this semester. As always, our worship
band will lead us and singing, and afterwards, some people will go try
to get employee discounts at Ben and Jerry’s.
This Sunday @ “The Worship Cafe” we will focus on Matthew 17:1-9 and
Jesus’ transfiguration. Look forward to seeing you all on Sunday!
Worship Cafe has new times this semester with Traditional Blend
beginning at 9:30, Community is Brewing with free breakfast at10:30,

competition and an arts competition culminating in our Love Campaign
Event on Feb. 15 in the Reitz amphitheater. We want all member
s of the
Wesley Foundation to get involved in the Love Campaign. We will be

Merry Christmas
December 25, 2007This is just a short note to say Merry Christmas to everyone from the students and staff of the UF Wesley Foundation. May God bless you and your family on this special day. Be safe over the remainder of the holiday break, and we’ll see you all in 2008!
Merry Christmas,
UF Wesley Students and Staff
“Winter” Break: Better Known As Christmas Break
December 10, 2007Exams are coming to a close for many of us UF Wesleyan-er-ite-ists (those of the UF Wesley Foundation) and I began to wonder what it was like to be in Gainesville after all of the students leave. Is it like that age old question: If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
If there is a city called Gainesville and no students are around to see it, does it really exist? Or does it go home and take a long nap like the rest of us in an attempt to recover in time for the Spring Semester?
Obviously, the town still exists and UUMC still meets each Sunday. Whether we think about it or not, the town and the church especially need our prayers even when we are not there. The church does so much for us so why not return the favor. I challenge us all to keep the church and the entire city of Gainesville in our prayers throughout break. Its just a thought.
Have a Very Happy Christmas and rest up for an Awesome Spring Semester!
<3,
Shawn
