THE GATHERING- Thursday, 8 pm, PDCSC

We will again study God, Sex, and the Bible using Lauren Winner’s book Real Sex: The Naked Truth about Chastity. Look forward to seeing you all out this Thursday night!

 

WORSHIP CAFE- Sunday mornings, PDCSC

We will look at the story of Jesus healing the blind man in John 4 as we think out own spiritul blindness and how Jesus opens our eyes. Traditional Blend begins at 9:30, Community is Brewing with free breakfast at 10:30, the Modern Mic at 11 am, and Lunch Bunch at Sonny’s following worship.

With Spring Break and Easter, we will only have one service each Sunday beginning March 9th.

- Sun, March 9: 11 am Traditional Service

- Sun, March 16: 10:30 am breakfast, 11:00 am Palm Sunday worship

- Thurs, Mach 20: 8 pm Holy Thursday/The Gathering

- Fri, March 21: 7 pm Good Friday Service

- Sun, March 23: 7 am Easter Sunrise Service with breakfast, 11 am Easter Service

- Sun, March 30: 10:30 am breakfast, 11 am Modern Mix worship

INVISIBLE CHILDREN

We will host a viewing of Invisible Children on Friday, February 29 at 8pm in the PDCSC. Start spreading the word and we’ll see you there on Friday night!!!

MORNING PRAYER

Each monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8 am during Lent, join us for a brief time of prayer at the Wesley House. We’ll have a scriptural focus for each day and pray through the prayer requests for the Wesley Foundation. Hope you can join us!

We will prepare and serve a meal at St. Francis House on Wednesday, March 5. Contact Amanda Cunningham to sign up (click here for email address).

EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE

We will hold our annual Easter Sunrise Service at 7 am at the Feather’s house on Newnan’s Lake. More information will be available at The Gathering, Worship Cafe, and through www.ufwesley.com

STAFF HUNT

Out annual staff hunt is schedules for Saturday, April 5 at 6pm at the Oaks Mall. If you do not know about Staff Hunt, just ask any current Upper Roomers. Trying to describe it here just wouldn’t do it justice…

PARENT’S WEEKEND

Out annual Parent’s Weekend will be held April 12-13. We’ll have a family picnic and other fun stuff on Saturday afternoon, followed by a catered dinner and talent show on Saturday night. So make sure your parents put those dates on their calendars and start finding some talent to share

MARANATHA CHOIR

The choir (and really the whole Wesley Foundation) is touring immediately after graduation (May 4-7). This is always one of the highlights of the year, so you don’t want to miss out! Maranatha rehearses Sunday afternoons at 2 pm and all are welcome and encouraged to join. The worship band will join in the tour and will will also need volunteers for our tech team and other behind-the-scenes jobs.

The show starts @ 7 pm, but we need lotsof help getting set-up and ready to go.  We are meeting at 5 pm at theWesley House to get all the materials together, and then we will beon-site at the amphitheater @ 6 pm to set-up the event.  So meet useither at 5 pm or 6 pm if you would like to help out!——————————This Week @ “The Gathering” (Thursday @ 8 pm in the Presby Center) wewill have a special Valentine’s Day edition!!  You won’t want to missout this celebration of friendship and Christian love.  Immediatelyfollowing The Gathering, we will fire up the chocolate fondue andwatch a fun movie on the big screen. Look forward to seeing you allout this Thursday night!This Sunday @ “The Worship Cafe” we will look at the story of Jesusand Nicodemus from John 3 and focus on how Jesus called him (and us)to find a faith that is real and genuine.  Look forward to seeing youall on Sunday!
